Thermosetting resins based on Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD), known with the trade-name Telene ®, were introduced on the market early in the nineties by the American company BF Goodrich. These resins are now produced in Japan by the company RIMTEC and distributed in Europe by the French company Telene s.a.s.

The product is obtained mixing two liquid components at high pressure using RIM moulding equipments. The polymerization is reached with a metathesis process. The result of this reaction is a solid polymer with peculiar physical and chemical characteristics now used in several industrial applications.

CHEM-TECH has developed the use in the chemical engineering field and since 15 years ago has been fabricating equipments for chlor-alkali and other chemical uses. For every need about property of Telene resins, please consult telene web site at > www.telene.com
